शरत्काले यथा व्योम्नि नक्षत्राणि द्विजोत्तमाः । तथान्या स्पर्द्धया युक्ता ययाचेऽमलवर्चसम् । हारं निर्मूल्यतायुक्तं चित्ताह्लादकरं परम्

ಹೇ ದ್ವಿಜೋತ್ತಮ! ಶರದ್ಕಾಲದ ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತವೆಯೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರಿತಳಾದ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬಳು ನಿರ್ಮಲ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನ, ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ, ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಮಾನಂದಕರವಾದ ಹಾರವನ್ನು ಯಾಚಿಸಿದಳು।
