दुःशील उवाच । सतां सप्तपदीं मैत्रीं प्रवदंति मनीषिणः । मित्रतां तु पुरस्कृत्य किंचिद्वक्ष्यामि तच्छृणु
duḥśīla uvāca | satāṃ saptapadīṃ maitrīṃ pravadaṃti manīṣiṇaḥ | mitratāṃ tu puraskṛtya kiṃcidvakṣyāmi tacchṛṇu
ទុះសីល បាននិយាយថា៖ «បណ្ឌិតទាំងឡាយប្រកាសថា ក្នុងចំណោមអ្នកល្អ មិត្តភាពរឹងមាំក្រោយដើរជាមួយគ្នា៧ជំហាន។ ដោយគោរពមិត្តភាពនោះ ខ្ញុំនឹងនិយាយបន្តិច—សូមស្តាប់»។
