तथा दृष्ट्वा कालनेमिस्तदानीं प्रहस्यमानोऽतिरुषा बलान्वितः । कस्त्वं महाभाग वरेण्यरूपः श्यामो युवा वारणमत्तविक्रमः । करे गृहीतं निशितं महाप्रभं चक्रं च कस्मात्कथयस्व मे प्रभो
tathā dṛṣṭvā kālanemistadānīṃ prahasyamāno'tiruṣā balānvitaḥ | kastvaṃ mahābhāga vareṇyarūpaḥ śyāmo yuvā vāraṇamattavikramaḥ | kare gṛhītaṃ niśitaṃ mahāprabhaṃ cakraṃ ca kasmātkathayasva me prabho
ឃើញដូច្នេះ កាលនេមិសើចចំអកដោយកំហឹងយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ហើយពោលថា៖ «តើអ្នកជានរណា ឱបុរសដ៏មានសំណាង មានរូបកាយដ៏ប្រពៃ ពណ៌ខ្មៅស្រស់ សង្ហា និងមានកម្លាំងដូចដំរីចុះប្រេង? ហេតុអ្វីបានជាអ្នកកាន់កងចក្រដ៏មុតស្រួចនៅក្នុងដៃ? ចូរប្រាប់ខ្ញុំមក ឱព្រះអម្ចាស់។»
