स्कंदप्रसादजः पुत्रो लोहिताक्षो भयंकरः । एष वीराष्टकः प्रोक्तः स्कंदमातृगणोऽद्भुतः
skaṃdaprasādajaḥ putro lohitākṣo bhayaṃkaraḥ | eṣa vīrāṣṭakaḥ proktaḥ skaṃdamātṛgaṇo'dbhutaḥ
ដោយព្រះគុណនៃព្រះស្កន្ទៈ ក៏មានបុត្រម្នាក់កើតឡើង—លោហិតាក្ស (Lohitākṣa) មានរូបរាងគួរឱ្យភ័យខ្លាច។ នេះត្រូវបានប្រកាសថា ជា «វីរអष्टក» ក្រុមវីរបុរសប្រាំបី និងជាក្រុមមាតានៃព្រះស្កន្ទៈដ៏អស្ចារ្យ។
