Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents the ideal of a dharmic leader: inner purity (vimala-sattva) combined with strength and disciplined counsel (mantra-nāyaka), showing that victory is grounded in character and right guidance, not mere force.
While not explicitly naming bhakti, it supports a bhakti-aligned ethic: purity of heart and self-mastery (vimala-sattva, jita-ari) are foundational qualities that sustain devotion and righteous action.
The verse emphasizes mantra-guided deliberation (mantra-nāyaka), aligning with the technical culture of Book 1.3 where disciplined speech, counsel, and correct application of sacred/strategic formulas are treated as practical knowledge for governance and success.
