अव स्पृधि पितरं योधि विद्वान्पुत्रो यस्ते सहसः सून ऊहे । कदा चिकित्वो अभि चक्षसे नोऽग्ने कदाँ ऋतचिद्यातयासे ॥
Transliteration
áva spṛdhi pitáraṃ yódhi vidvā́n putró yás te sahasaḥ sū́no ūhé | kadā́ cikitvo abhí cakṣase no 'gne kadā́ṃ ṛtácid yātayāse ||
Translation
父なるものに向かって下へと抗し、知れる子として戦え——汝は「力」（sahas）の子、アグニよ、秘められたはからいのうちに。識別ある者よ、いつ我らをその見通す眼で顧みるのか。アグニよ、いつ「真理」（ṛta）そのものによって（我らの）道を押し進め、切り拓くのか。
