棍棒や棘ある投げ縄、また雷のごとく燃えさかる多種多様な鋭い武器が飛び交い、劫末に吹き荒れる烈風のようであった。
Realizing that this is not the time to be disconsolate, observing Lakshmana's efforts, Raghava resolved to destroy Ravana and started a fierce struggle.
The verse contrasts ordered righteousness with the chaos of adharma: when violence is unleashed without restraint, it resembles cosmic dissolution—implying that war must be governed by dharma, not rage or cruelty.
A terrifying exchange of weapons erupts on the battlefield, described in apocalyptic imagery.
No single virtue is foregrounded; the emphasis is on the intensity of the battle and the narrative warning about unbounded destruction.
