Brahmavākya
Brahmā’s Pronouncement on Hari-nāma and the Non-punishability of Viṣṇu’s Devotees
eko hi kṛṣṇasya kṛtaḥ praṇāmo daśāśvamedhāvabhṛthena tulyaḥ | daśāśvamedhī punareti janma kṛṣṇapraṇāmī na punarbhavāya || 3 ||
Suta (narrating the Narada Purana teaching on Vishnu/Krishna-bhakti)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It declares the supremacy of Krishna-bhakti: even a simple praṇāma offered with devotion can grant freedom from saṃsāra, surpassing the merit of major Vedic sacrifices.
Bhakti is shown as direct and liberating—personal surrender to Krishna (praṇāma) yields moksha, while ritual merit alone (even ten Aśvamedhas) may still keep one within the cycle of rebirth.
It references śrauta-yajña procedure—especially the avabhṛtha (final ceremonial bath) of the Aśvamedha—highlighting ritual science while emphasizing that devotion is the higher fruit-giver.
