उपमन्युमुवाच सस्मितो भगवान्बन्धुजनैः समावृतम् गिरिजाम् अवलोक्य सस्मितां सघृणं प्रेक्ष्यतु तं तदा घृणी

upamanyumuvāca sasmito bhagavānbandhujanaiḥ samāvṛtam girijām avalokya sasmitāṃ saghṛṇaṃ prekṣyatu taṃ tadā ghṛṇī

ウパマニュは言った。すると慈悲深き主は微笑みつつ、親族に囲まれたギリジャー(パールヴァティー)をご覧になった。彼女もまた微笑むのを見て、憐れみのこもった優しい眼差しで彼女を見つめられた—その御方こそ慈悲の主である。
