Encompass and set this Indra for life, for mighty dominion; so may we lead him unto old age, and long may he keep watch in sovereignty.

Encompass, bestow—bestow on us for splendor; make this aging-and-death into long life. Bṛhaspati bestowed this garment, to be put about King Soma indeed.

Depart thou, Old Age, in happy wise; put on thee round about this vesture: become a guardian from imprecation for the milch-kine. Live thou a hundred years, yea many autumns; and wrap thee in wealth and in increase of nourishment.

परीदं वासो अधिथाः स्वस्तयेऽभूर्वापीनामभिशस्तिपा उ । शतं च जीव शरदः पुरूचीर्वसूनि चारुर्वि भजासि जीवन्
Round thee thou hast assumed this garment for welfare; thou hast become, indeed, a warder from imprecation for the pools. Live thou a hundred years, yea many autumns; and, living, in seemly wise divide and enjoy thy goods.

योगेयोगे तवस्तरं वाजेवाजे हवामहे । सखाय इन्द्रमूतये
At every yoking, at every winning of the prize, we invoke the mightier—Indra—as comrades, for his succour.

हिरण्यवर्णो अजरः सुवीरो जरामृत्युः प्रजया सं विशस्व । तदग्निराह तदु सोम आह बृहस्पतिः सविता तदिन्द्रः
Golden-hued, unaging, rich in goodly heroes—old age and death—enter thou in wholly, with progeny. That hath Agni said; that, indeed, hath Soma said; Bṛhaspati, Savitṛ—yea that hath Indra said.
