The Procedure for the Dharaṇī Vow
Kārtika Dvādaśī Observance
गुरवे सति यस्त्वन्यमाश्रयेत् पूजयेत् कुधीः । स दुर्गतिमवाप्नोति दत्तमस्य च निष्फलम् । प्रयत्नेन गुरौ पूर्वं पश्चादन्यस्य दापयेत् ॥ ५०.१७ ॥
gurave sati yas tv anyam āśrayet pūjayet kudhīḥ | sa durgatim avāpnoti dattam asya ca niṣphalam | prayatnena gurau pūrvaṃ paścād anyasya dāpayet || 50.17 ||
जब गुरु सामने हो, और कोई बेवकूफ दूसरे के पास जाके उसकी पूजा करे, तो उसका बुरा हाल होता है। जो भी उसने दिया वो खाली जाता है। इसलिए पहले गुरु को देना चाहिए, उसके बाद किसी और को।
