कृत्वा तु पिण्डसङ्कल्पं नामगोत्रेण माधवि ॥ पश्चादश्नन्ति गोत्राणि कुलजाश्चैकभोजनाः ॥
kṛtvā tu piṇḍasaṅkalpaṃ nāmagotreṇa mādhavi | paścād aśnanti gotrāṇi kulajāś caikabhojanāḥ ||
पहले पिंड के लिए संकल्प करो और अपना नाम और गोत्र बोलो। उसके बाद जो लोग एक ही गोत्र के हैं या एक ही कुल के हैं, वो सब मिलकर खाना खाते हैं।
