with a Truth-Vow Exemplum
jambūdvīpaṃ samāsādya rājarājas tu jāyate || sarvakarmasamāyukto rakṣitā vai mahīpatiḥ ||
Varāha
It reflects Purāṇic cosmography (Jambūdvīpa) and political ideals (protector-king), useful for studying how sacred geography and governance ethics were interwoven.
Jambūdvīpa is a major Purāṇic world-region; scholars often interpret it as a cosmographic representation that can overlap conceptually with the known inhabited world, especially Bhārata-varṣa within it.
Kingship is framed as protective responsibility (rakṣitā) and comprehensive duty (sarvakarma), not merely status.
