असकृद्वार्यमाणोऽपि व्याली घातितवान्यतः ॥ तस्मान्मयापि नकुलो घातितः सर्पघातकः ॥
asakṛd vāryamāṇo 'pi vyālī ghātitavān yataḥ || tasmān mayā 'pi nakulo ghātitaḥ sarpaghātakaḥ ||
लोग उसे बार-बार रोकते थे पर वो ना सुना। उसने एक नागिन मारी। इसलिए मैंने भी उस नकुल को मार दिया जो साँप मारता था।
