Sukta 3
उ॒तार॑ब्धान्त्स्पृनुहि जातवेद उ॒तारे॑भा॒णाँ ऋ॒ष्टिभि॑र्यातु॒धाना॑न्। अग्ने॒ पूर्वो॒ नि ज॑हि॒ शोशु॑चान आ॒मादः॒ क्ष्विङ्का॒स्तम॑द॒न्त्वेनीः॑
utā́rabdhā́n spṛṇuhi jātavedas utā́rebhāṇā́ṃ ṛṣṭíbhir yātudhānā́n | agné pū́rvo ní jahi śóśucāna āmā́daḥ kṣvíṅkās tám adantv énīḥ
And those that have laid hold, O Jātavedas, tear thou away; and the Yātudhānas that are not yet upon us—smite them with thy spears. O Agni, foremost, blazing, slay them down: let the raw-eater, the yelping devourers, the swift ones, eat him up.
जातवेदस, जो लोग पकड़ चुके हैं उनको चीर कर फेंक। जो यातुधान अभी तक हमारे पास नहीं आए, उनको भी भान और बर्छी से मारना। अग्नि, तु सबसे पहले है, जल रहा है, उनको नीचे गिरा दे। जो कच्चा मास खाते हैं, जो भौंकते हैं, जो तेज़ दौड़ते हैं, वो उसको खा जाएँ।
