Khanda 2

Verses

Verse 2.1

Agar tum soch rahe ho ki tumne Brahma ko poora samajh liya, toh tumne thoda hi jaana hai. Tumne sirf itna jaana hai jo tumhare andar hai aur jo deviyon mein hai. Abhi aur detail mein sochna padega, abhi poora clear nahi hai.

Verse 2.2

Main yeh nahi kehta ki maine Brahma ko poora jaan liya, aur yeh bhi nahi kehta ki main kuch nahi jaanta. Jo log sach mein jaante hain, woh yeh bhi jaante hain ki Brahma ko normal cheez ki tarah nahi jaana jaata. Itna samajh lo, Brahma ko jaanana bhi ek alag baat hai.

Verse 2.3

Jisne use soch ke pakadne ki koshish nahi ki, use sach mein pata chal gaya. Jo log sochte hain ki humne samajh liya, woh actually samjhe nahi. Jo log use cheez jaise jaante hain, unhe woh nahi milta. Jo log use cheez nahi maante, unhe woh mil jata hai.

Verse 2.4

Sachcha gyaan woh hai jo har waqt samajh mein aata rahe. Isse aadmi amartva paata hai. Apne aap se bal milti hai. Gyaan se amartva milta hai.

Verse 2.5

Agar yahan jaan liya, toh sach mein haath aa gaya. Agar yahan nahi jaana, toh bahut bada nuksan ho gaya. Jo log samajhdar hain, woh har jeev mein use dekh lete hain. Phir yeh duniya chhod ke amar ho jaate hain.

Inside Khanda 2

Key teachings

  • • Brahman cannot be fully comprehended by the intellect; whoever thinks they have known it has not truly known it, while one who realizes its unknowability has a deeper grasp of it. • The one who claims 'I know not' may indeed know, and the one who claims 'I know' does not know—true knowledge of Brahman is beyond ordinary epistemology. • Those who deem Brahman beyond thought truly think of Brahman; those who try to reduce it to thought do not comprehend it. • Immortality (amṛtatva) is attained through direct, moment-to-moment realization (pratibodha-vidita) of Brahman in every experience, not through mere intellectual study. • The Self gains spiritual power (vīrya) through self-knowledge, and through vidyā (spiritual wisdom) one attains immortality. • If one realizes Brahman here in this life, it is truth; if not, great destruction follows. The wise who perceive Brahman in every being become immortal upon departing this world.
