Yeh mantra kheti-baadi ke liye hai. Kshetrasya Pati ko bulaya ja raha hai. Woh khet ka malik hain. Unse kheti mein safata maangi ja rahi hai. Gaye aur ghode aage badhne chahiye. Shuna-Sira se barkat aani chahiye. Parjanya ke baarish se dhara meethi ho. Fasal achi ho aur logon ka kaam chale.

Mantra 1
क्षेत्रस्य पतिना वयं हितेनेव जयामसि । गामश्वं पोषयित्न्वा स नो मृळातीदृशे ॥
Khet ke malik ki madad se hum jeet te hain. Woh humare liye gaay aur ghode ko paal ta hai. Yeh dono chamak aur taqat ke roop hain. Hum aise hi uski daya maang te hain.

क्षेत्रस्य पते मधुमन्तमूर्मिं धेनुरिव पयो अस्मासु धुक्ष्व । मधुश्चुतं घृतमिव सुपूतमृतस्य नः पतयो मृळयन्तु ॥
Khet ke malik, humein meethi barkat de. Jaise gaay doodh deti hai, waise hi humein de. Yeh ghee ki tarah saaf aur achha ho. Dharam ke rakhwale hum par meharbani karein.

मधुमतीरोषधीर्द्याव आपो मधुमन्नो भवत्वन्तरिक्षम् । क्षेत्रस्य पतिर्मधुमान्नो अस्त्वरिष्यन्तो अन्वेनं चरेम ॥
Ped-paudhe meethe hon, aasman aur paani meetha ho. Hawa aur saans ki duniya bhi meethi ho. Khet ka malik humare liye meetha ho. Hum uske saath chal ke safe rahein.
Mantra 4
शुनं वाहाः शुनं नरः शुनं कृषतु लाङ्गलम् । शुनं वरत्रा बध्यन्तां शुनमष्ट्रामुदिङ्गय ॥
Haal jode wale sahi se chalein, kaam karne wale bhi. Hal jameen ko achi tarah kaate. Baal aur fatti sab sahi se bani ho. Chubhane wali laathi bhi sahi se kaam kare. Sab kaam achha ho.

शुनासीराविमां वाचं जुषेथां यद्दिवि चक्रथुः पयः । तेनेमामुप सिञ्चतम् ॥
Hey Shunashirau, hamari baat suno. Tumne aasman mein woh ras banaya jo sabko khilata hai. Ab usi barkat se is khet ko paani do. Kaam poora ho jaye.

अर्वाची सुभगे भव सीते वन्दामहे त्वा । यथा नः सुभगाससि यथा नः सुफलाससि ॥
Hey Sita, hamari taraf mud ke dekh. Hum tujhe pranaam karte hain. Tu hamare liye bhagya laane wali ban. Tu hamare liye achhe phal laane wali ban.

इन्द्रः सीतां नि गृह्णातु तां पूषानु यच्छतु । सा नः पयस्वती दुहामुत्तरामुत्तरां समाम् ॥
Indra is khet ko pakad ke rakhe. Pushan use sahi raaste pe le jaye. Yeh khet hamare liye har saal aur zyada anaj de. Har saal upar wali fasal mile.

शुनं नः फाला वि कृषन्तु भूमिं शुनं कीनाशा अभि यन्तु वाहैः । शुनं पर्जन्यो मधुना पयोभिः शुनासीरा शुनमस्मासु धत्तम् ॥
Hal hamare khet ko achhe se khod de. Kisan apne bail jod ke kaam pe aaye. Barish meetha paani barsaye. Hey Shuna aur Sira, tum hamare upar yeh achha daal do.

Kṣetrasya Pati means “Lord of the Field.” In this hymn he is the divine guardian of cultivated land who grants success in work, protects the field, and increases nourishment and prosperity.
Śunā-Sīrā are paired fertility powers connected with auspicious increase and ploughing. The hymn asks them to accept the prayer and to “pour” nourishing essence onto the field so that cultivation and harvest succeed.
