Sukta 4.23
कथा शृणोति हूयमानमिन्द्रः कथा शृण्वन्नवसामस्य वेद । का अस्य पूर्वीरुपमातयो ह कथैनमाहुः पपुरिं जरित्रे ॥
kathā́ śṛṇóti hūyámānam índraḥ kathā́ śṛṇván ávasām asya veda | kā́ asya pūrvī́r úpa-mātayo ha katháinam ā́huḥ pápuriṃ jaritré ||
Jab log Indra ko pukarte hain, woh kaise sunta hai? Sunke kaise jaanta hai ki madad karni hai? Uske purane tareeke kya hain? Log use kaise batate hain ki woh pyala bharta hai, jo stuti karte hain unke liye?
