Agni in relation to Uṣas; invocation to the Aśvins (Nāsatyā)

Is mantra mein Agni ki roshni ko subah ki pehli kirano se joda gaya hai. Jab Agni jalta hai tab Ushas prakat hoti hai aur andhera door hota hai. Phir Ashvin bhaiyon ko bulaya gaya hai ki jaldi aao. Yeh dono subah ke waqt yagya mein aakar Soma ka maza lo. Logon ki ichcha hai ki devata sahi samay par aayein. Unse surakshit rasta aur taakat maangi gayi hai.

Mantra 1
प्रत्यग्निरुषसो जातवेदा अख्यद्देवो रोचमाना महोभिः । आ नासत्योरुगाया रथेनेमं यज्ञमुप नो यातमच्छ ॥
Agni, jo sabke janam ko jaanta hai, subah ke ugaane ki taraf dekh raha hai. Woh bhagwan apni taakat se chamak raha hai. Hey Nasatya, tum dono bade ho aur tumhari gaadi badi hai. Is yagya ke liye apni rath lekar aao, hamare paas aao.

ऊर्ध्वं केतुं सविता देवो अश्रेज्ज्योतिर्विश्वस्मै भुवनाय कृण्वन् । आप्रा द्यावापृथिवी अन्तरिक्षं वि सूर्यो रश्मिभिश्चेकितानः ॥
Savita bhagwan ne upar nishaan utha diya hai. Woh sab duniya ke liye roshni bana raha hai. Aasman, dharti aur beech ki jagah sab bhar di hai. Surya apni kiranon ke saath poora fail raha hai, sab jagah roshni kar raha hai.

आवहन्त्यरुणीर्ज्योतिषागान्मही चित्रा रश्मिभिश्चेकिताना । प्रबोधयन्ती सुविताय देव्युषा ईयते सुयुजा रथेन ॥
Usha devi lal roshni lekar aa rahi hai. Woh badi hai, alag-alag rangon mein hai, apni kiranon se jagmag rahi hai. Woh humein subah safar ke liye jaga rahi hai. Apni achhi gaadi mein aage badh rahi hai.

आ वां वहिष्ठा इह ते वहन्तु रथा अश्वास उषसो व्युष्टौ । इमे हि वां मधुपेयाय सोमा अस्मिन्यज्ञे वृषणा मादयेथाम् ॥
Tumhari sabse taakatwali gaadi aur ghode subah hone par yahan lao. Yahan Som ras nikala ja raha hai jo meetha hai. Is yagya mein tum dono taakatwale ho, isse piyo aur khush raho.
