Yeh mantra subah ke waqt ko pakadta hai jab Ushas apni rath mein aati hai. Ashvins bhi jaldi se Soma press karne ke liye aajate hain. Subah ka waqt woh darwaza hai jahan puja shuru hoti hai. Ismein hum gods ko bolte hain ki jago aur humari madat karo. Yeh mantra kehta hai ki subah mein sab kuch sahi se hona chahiye. Gods ko aane ke liye bulaya jata hai aur unse ashirwad manga jata hai.

Mantra 1
समानमु त्यं पुरुहूतमुक्थ्यं रथं त्रिचक्रं सवना गनिग्मतम् । परिज्मानं विदथ्यं सुवृक्तिभिर्वयं व्युष्टा उषसो हवामहे ॥
Yeh rath sabse zyada bulaya jaata hai. Isme teen pahiye hain. Yeh puja ki jagah tak aata hai. Hum subah uth ke Usha mata ko bula rahe hain. Acche se bola jaaye, aise shabdon se unhe invite karte hain.

प्रातर्युजं नासत्याधि तिष्ठथः प्रातर्यावाणं मधुवाहनं रथम् । विशो येन गच्छथो यज्वरीर्नरा कीरेश्चिद्यज्ञं होतृमन्तमश्विना ॥
Ashvin bhaiyon, subah jaldi aa jao. Apna rath lao jismein meetha ras hai. Logon ke paas jao, jo bhagwan ko puja karte hain unke paas bhi jao. Jo log bhajan karte hain, unki puja ko bhi acha bana do.

अध्वर्युं वा मधुपाणिं सुहस्त्यमग्निधं वा धृतदक्षं दमूनसम् । विप्रस्य वा यत्सवनानि गच्छथोऽत आ यातं मधुपेयमश्विना ॥
Puja karne wala pandit haath mein meetha ras le ke khada hai. Ya phir woh pandit jo aag jalata hai, woh bhi taiyaar hai. Jab bhi koi rishi puja karta hai, tab tum Ashvin bhai aa jao. Meetha ras piyo aur ashirwad do.
