वासिष्ठकथनम् (आदित्य–सोमवंशवर्णनम् तथा रुद्रसहस्रनाम-प्रशंसा)

महासेनो विशाखश् च षष्टिभागो गवां पतिः चक्रहस्तस्तु विष्टम्भी मूलस्तम्भन एव च

Transliteration

mahāseno viśākhaś ca ṣaṣṭibhāgo gavāṃ patiḥ cakrahastastu viṣṭambhī mūlastambhana eva ca

Translation

वह महासेन है और विशाख है; वह षष्टिभाग—माप-विभागों का सर्वव्यापी नियामक है। वह गवां पति—गौओं का तथा समस्त प्राणियों का रक्षक-स्वामी है। वह चक्रहस्त—चक्र धारण करने वाला, विष्टम्भी—जगत् का आधार, और मूलस्तम्भन—अस्तित्व की जड़ को स्थिर करने वाला है।
