Sukta 4
सर्वान् कामान् यमराज्ये वशा प्रददुषे दुहे । अथाहुर्नारकं लोकं निरुन्धानस्य याचिताम्
sárvān kā́mān yama-rā́jye vaśā́ pradadúṣe duhē | átha āhúr nā́rakam lókam nirundhānásya yācitā́m ||
All desires, in Yama’s kingdom, the Vashā milks out for him who hath bestowed her. But then, they say, a hellish world awaits the man who bars (the gift) from one that hath entreated.
यमराज्य में, जिसने वशा (गाय) का दान किया है, उसके लिए वशा सब कामनाएँ दुह देती है। परन्तु जो याचना करने वाले से (दान) रोक लेता है, उसके लिए—ऐसा कहते हैं—नारकीय लोक का निरोधन होता है।
