atha tadgodhanaṃ dṛṣṭvā bhūri dānārthamāhṛtam | bhrātṛbhyāṃ tritaye ceti pāpā matirajāyata

પછી દાનાર્થે લાવવામાં આવેલું તે વિશાળ ગોધન જોઈને તે બે ભાઈઓના મનમાં પાપબુદ્ધિ ઉદ્ભવી—“આ તો ત્રિતનું પણ છે અને આપણું પણ (હડપ કરવા)!”
