स्कंद उवाच । न कौलीन्यं न सद्वृत्तं महत्त्वाय प्रकल्पते । एकमेव पदं श्रेयः पदभ्रंशो हि लाघवम्
skaṃda uvāca | na kaulīnyaṃ na sadvṛttaṃ mahattvāya prakalpate | ekameva padaṃ śreyaḥ padabhraṃśo hi lāghavam
સ્કંદે કહ્યું—માત્ર કુલીનતા કે માત્ર સદ્વૃત્ત જ મહત્ત્વને નિશ્ચિત કરતી નથી. શ્રેયના માર્ગ પર એક દૃઢ પગલું જ મંગલ છે; અને પદભ્રંશ નિશ્ચયે લાઘવ છે।
