The thousand-eyed Indra, slayer of Bala, on hearing Diti's words, addressed her with folded palms, saying:
Respectful speech and humility before one who has been wronged; folded hands signal accountability and a dharmic move toward reconciliation.
Indra responds after hearing Diti’s request regarding the fate and roles of the divided embryos (future Maruts).
Humility—Indra approaches Diti with reverence rather than triumph.
