Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 22

उद्भूता सा तदा देवी अधस्ताद्वृक्षमूलतः । तत्कोटर कुटीकोटिप्रविष्टानां द्विजन्मनाम्

udbhūtā sā tadā devī adhastādvṛkṣamūlataḥ | tatkoṭara kuṭīkoṭipraviṣṭānāṃ dvijanmanām

Alors la Déesse se manifesta en ce lieu, depuis le dessous de la racine d’un arbre, là où des multitudes de dvijas—sages « deux fois nés »—étaient entrés dans des cavités et d’innombrables huttes de feuilles pour leurs austérités.
