Type: kund
Scene: The sage bathes in the well’s sacred water, then stands dripping, offering tarpaṇa with cupped hands; the atmosphere is serene, with ancestral presence subtly implied.
Tīrtha-bathing joined with ancestral rites purifies and elevates the soul, culminating in the highest spiritual attainment.
The excellent tīrtha at Prabhāsakṣetra associated with the well whose waters enable snāna and pitṛ-tarpaṇa.
Snāna (ritual bathing) and pitṛ-tarpaṇa (libations to ancestors) performed at the tīrtha.
