शुनोमुख उवाच । मया हृतानि सर्वेषां बिसानीमानि वै द्विजाः । धर्मं वै श्रोतुकामेन जानीध्वं मां पुरंदरम्
śunomukha uvāca | mayā hṛtāni sarveṣāṃ bisānīmāni vai dvijāḥ | dharmaṃ vai śrotukāmena jānīdhvaṃ māṃ puraṃdaram
Śunomukha dit : « Oui, ô deux-fois-nés, ces tiges de lotus qui vous appartenaient à tous, c’est moi qui les ai prises. Sachez que je suis Purandara (Indra), venu avec le désir d’entendre parler du dharma. »
