यथा शृंगं रुरोः काये वर्द्धमाने हि वर्द्धते । अनंतपारा दुर्वारा तृष्णा दुःखप्रदा सदा । अधर्मबहुला चैव तस्मात्तां परिवर्जयेत्
yathā śṛṃgaṃ ruroḥ kāye varddhamāne hi varddhate | anaṃtapārā durvārā tṛṣṇā duḥkhapradā sadā | adharmabahulā caiva tasmāttāṃ parivarjayet
De même que le bois du cerf croît avec son corps, ainsi le désir croît avec la vie. La soif n’a pas de rive, elle est difficile à maîtriser et engendre toujours la souffrance; elle abonde en adharma—qu’on l’abandonne donc.
