तस्मात्ते गर्वसंयुक्ते कुष्ठमंगे भविष्यति । श्रुत्वा शापं ततः कन्या भयभीता तपस्विनी

tasmātte garvasaṃyukte kuṣṭhamaṃge bhaviṣyati | śrutvā śāpaṃ tataḥ kanyā bhayabhītā tapasvinī

«Ainsi, ô toi que l’orgueil enchaîne, la lèpre s’élèvera sur ton corps.» Entendant la malédiction, la jeune fille—prise de crainte, telle une pénitente—fut saisie d’effroi.
