शंखदुंदुभिनिर्घोषैर्ब्रह्मघोषैश्चपुष्कलैः । ततस्तुनागरान्सर्वान्समाहूय द्विजोत्तमान् । अब्रवीत्प्रणतो भूत्वा दत्त्वा वृत्तिमनुत्तमाम्
śaṃkhaduṃdubhinirghoṣairbrahmaghoṣaiścapuṣkalaiḥ | tatastunāgarānsarvānsamāhūya dvijottamān | abravītpraṇato bhūtvā dattvā vṛttimanuttamām
Au milieu du fracas des conques et des tambours dundubhi, et des abondantes récitations védiques, il convoqua alors tous les habitants de la cité et les meilleurs des deux-fois-nés. S’inclinant avec dévotion, et leur ayant accordé un soutien de vie excellent, il prit la parole.
