Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 118

नेत्राण्युत्पाद्य देवस्य कृत्वा च तिलकक्रियाम् । पृथिव्यां यानि तीर्थानि पाताले च विशेषतः

netrāṇyutpādya devasya kṛtvā ca tilakakriyām | pṛthivyāṃ yāni tīrthāni pātāle ca viśeṣataḥ

Après avoir « fait naître » les yeux de la divinité (rite d’ouverture des yeux) et achevé la cérémonie du tilaka, tous les tīrtha sacrés existant sur la terre—et tout particulièrement ceux du Pātāla—furent présents en cette occasion.
