Unknown (contextual narrator within Prabhāsakṣetra Māhātmya; likely Sūta relating the teaching)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A four-part sacred sequence in one composition: (1) homa fire with offerings, (2) distribution of sanctified food, (3) gifting gold/coins, (4) Brāhmaṇa giving āśīrvāda—set in a Prabhāsa temple courtyard with sea-light beyond.
Pāpa is reduced through sacred offering and charity, and the highest ‘seal’ of auspiciousness is the blessing of the spiritually disciplined.
Prabhāsakṣetra is the setting; the verse supports the Māhātmya’s dharmic culture of yajña and dāna within that tirtha-region.
Homa/offerings (huta), offering of food, and hiraṇya-dāna (donation of gold), culminating in seeking Brāhmaṇa āśīrvāda.
