Transliteration

hutena śāmyate pāpaṃ hutamannena śāmyati | annaṃ hiraṇyadānena hiraṇyaṃ brāhmaṇāśiṣā

Translation

Le péché s’apaise par l’offrande versée dans le feu sacré ; et ce qui est offert en nourriture devient lui aussi propice. La nourriture est sanctifiée par le don d’or, et l’or lui-même est sanctifié par la bénédiction d’un brāhmaṇa.
