Skanda (deduced from Prabhāsakṣetra-māhātmya narrative style within Skanda Purāṇa)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa
Type: kshetra
Listener: Soma / general audience via Soma
Scene: A symbolic ‘seat of mantra’: brāhmaṇas seated around a Vedic altar; above them, mantras appear as luminous syllables; tejas concentrates as a single pillar of light. The three worlds are shown as three bands, all oriented toward the brāhmaṇa center.
Mantra and tejas are centralized in the Vedic custodian; honoring that custodianship preserves sacred order across the worlds.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, using brāhmaṇa-mahimā as part of the tīrtha’s authoritative dharma teaching.
No direct prescription; it frames mantra-based ritual authority as foundational.
