nagnaḥ kāṣāyavastraḥ syānnagnaścārdhapaṭaḥ smṛtaḥ | acchinnāgraṃ tu yadvastraṃ mṛdā prakṣālitaṃ tu yat
Selon cette règle, celui qui porte un vêtement teint au safran est tenu pour « nu » ; et celui qui n’a qu’un demi-pagne est aussi rappelé comme « nu ». Mais un vêtement dont le bord n’est pas déchiré, et un vêtement lavé avec de la terre (argile purificatrice), est jugé recevable.
