अहतं धातुरक्तं वा तत्पवित्रमिति स्थितम् । अग्रतो वसते मूर्खो दूरे चास्य गुणान्वितः

ahataṃ dhāturaktaṃ vā tatpavitramiti sthitam | agrato vasate mūrkho dūre cāsya guṇānvitaḥ

Le tissu neuf, ou le tissu teint d’une couleur minérale, est tenu pour pur. Pourtant, un sot peut s’asseoir tout près, devant, tandis que l’homme vertueux demeure au loin.
