En particulier, qu’on ne néglige pas le fils de la sœur, ni l’ensemble des parents. Qu’un homme ne les écarte point—même s’ils sont sans savoir—ô toi au beau visage.
Skanda (deduced from Prabhāsa-khaṇḍa māhātmya discourse style)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Addressed as 'varānane' (fair-faced one)—a female interlocutor within the dialogue frame
Scene: A śrāddha gathering where an unlearned but devoted sister’s son stands hesitantly; the yajamāna warmly beckons him to sit among relatives, while learned brāhmaṇas conduct the mantras—showing inclusion without compromising ritual order.
Dharma includes honoring family bonds; ritual correctness is not only about learning but also about rightful relationships.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where śrāddha and related rites are framed as especially meritorious.
Do not exclude close relatives (especially the sister’s son and kinsmen) from honor in rite-related gatherings.
