Transliteration

pūrvakarmānusaṃyogādvikarmaṇi rataḥ sadā | tasyāṃ rātryāmahaṃ tatra janamadhye tu saṃsthitaḥ

Translation

Par l’enchaînement aux fruits de mes actes passés, je demeurais sans cesse adonné aux actions fautives. Pourtant, cette nuit-là, j’étais là, debout au milieu de la foule.
