Skanda (deduced from Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa māhātmya narration style)
Tirtha: Gopyāditya
Type: kshetra
Listener: Maheśvarī
Scene: A devotee stands at dawn before a discreet solar shrine, eyes lowered in inward concentration; the sun’s rays form a halo as the ‘heart’ is symbolically offered into the solar disc, emphasizing secret/inner worship.
Wholehearted inner devotion (bhāva) offered to Āditya is itself a fulfillment of life’s purpose and makes the devotee praiseworthy.
The verse sits within the Prabhāsakṣetra-māhātmya, thus supporting the sanctity of Prabhāsa (Somanātha/Prabhāsa region) as a setting for meritorious worship.
No external rite is specified here; the emphasis is on the internal act of fixing one’s devotion on Āditya.
