Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 130

नूनं न चैषां जननी त्वं संज्ञा क्वापि सा गता । विकलेष्वप्यपत्येषु न माता शापदा भवेत्

nūnaṃ na caiṣāṃ jananī tvaṃ saṃjñā kvāpi sā gatā | vikaleṣvapyapatyeṣu na mātā śāpadā bhavet

Assurément, tu n’es pas leur véritable mère ; Saṃjñā est sans doute partie ailleurs. Même si les enfants sont imparfaits ou s’égarent, une mère ne doit pas devenir celle qui profère des malédictions.
