Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 68

प्रतिपद्ब्राह्मणांश्चापि भोजयेद्वि धिवत्सुधीः । वासोभिरहतैश्चापि गन्धमाल्यानुलेपनैः

pratipadbrāhmaṇāṃścāpi bhojayedvi dhivatsudhīḥ | vāsobhirahataiścāpi gandhamālyānulepanaiḥ

Au jour de Pratipad, le sage doit aussi nourrir les brāhmanes selon la règle prescrite, et les honorer de vêtements neufs non portés, ainsi que de parfums, de guirlandes et d’onguents.
