Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 63

गूढाश्चरंति ये ज्ञानं व्रतं धर्ममथापि वा । स्वार्थैकागतनिष्ठास्तु बकास्ते साधका मताः

gūḍhāścaraṃti ye jñānaṃ vrataṃ dharmamathāpi vā | svārthaikāgataniṣṭhāstu bakāste sādhakā matāḥ

Ceux qui pratiquent la connaissance, les vœux (vrata) ou même le dharma d’une manière cachée, tout en demeurant fixés uniquement sur leur avantage personnel—sont tenus pour des sādhaka « Bakāḥ », semblables au héron.
