Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 64

दीनांधकृपणानां च सदा तत्तीरवासिनाम् । दद्याद्दानं स्वशक्त्या च वित्त शाठ्यविवर्जितः

dīnāṃdhakṛpaṇānāṃ ca sadā tattīravāsinām | dadyāddānaṃ svaśaktyā ca vitta śāṭhyavivarjitaḥ

Et l’on doit toujours faire l’aumône—selon ses moyens—aux pauvres, aux aveugles et aux indigents qui demeurent sur ces rives sacrées, sans aucune tromperie quant aux biens.
