Type: kshetra
Listener: King (address implied from surrounding verses)
Scene: A sacred precinct with a Śiva-liṅga shrine of Hāṭakeśvara and a nearby fierce-yet-benevolent Caṇḍikā shrine; pilgrims feel sins ‘burn away’ as light rises from the sanctum.
A true tīrtha is measured by its power to destroy sin and align the devotee with divine satisfaction through Śiva–Śakti presence.
Hāṭakeśvara-deva’s kṣetra, where Caṇḍikā is also especially potent.
Implied is worship of Caṇḍikā within Hāṭakeśvara’s kṣetra; the verse itself emphasizes the kṣetra’s pāpa-nāśa power.
