Sūta
Type: kund
Scene: A parched Gokula landscape suddenly calms as a fresh water-source appears; a thirsty cowherd steps into the newly arisen water while villagers and cattle look on in relief.
When a tīrtha arises, it relieves both collective hardship and individual affliction—inviting even the suffering to step into purification.
Gomukha-tīrtha, whose waters remove thirst and draw the afflicted cowherd into contact with them.
The act of entering the water implies snāna (ritual bathing), a standard tīrtha practice for purification and merit.
