ततश्चेंद्रजयाकांक्षी समासाय सुरालयम् । सहस्राक्षमुखान्देवान्युद्धे चक्रे पराङ्मुखान्

tataśceṃdrajayākāṃkṣī samāsāya surālayam | sahasrākṣamukhāndevānyuddhe cakre parāṅmukhān

Ensuite, désireux de vaincre Indra, il s’approcha du séjour des dieux; et, dans la bataille, il contraignit les devas, conduits par le Mille-Yeux (Indra), à se détourner et à battre en retraite.
