L’ayant vu, il se prosterna profondément, puis parla avec déférence. Candra, atteint du mal de dépérissement, s’adressa à lui dans un profond désespoir : «Ô le meilleur des deux-fois-nés !»
Narrator (Purāṇic narrator within Tīrthamāhātmya context)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Candra, pale and diminished, approaches the radiant sage Romaka; he bows deeply, hands folded, eyes lowered in reverence, conveying both suffering and hope.
In crisis, humility and reverence toward realized sages open the path to counsel and sacred remedy.
The encounter is part of the Prabhāsa-kṣetra māhātmya sequence.
Praṇāma (bowing) is shown as an essential dharmic approach to a sage; no further rite is detailed in this verse.
