ततः शाकैश्च मूलैश्च नीवारैः फलसंयुतैः । चकार विधिना श्राद्धं तत्रैव द्विजसत्तमाः

tataḥ śākaiśca mūlaiśca nīvāraiḥ phalasaṃyutaiḥ | cakāra vidhinā śrāddhaṃ tatraiva dvijasattamāḥ

Puis, avec des légumes feuillus, des racines et du riz sauvage nīvāra, accompagnés de fruits, les plus éminents des deux-fois-nés accomplirent sur place le Śrāddha selon le rite établi.
