Type: kshetra
Scene: Sūta narrates: the person promises compliance, settles in the kṣetra, performs austerities, and attains supreme siddhi beyond even the gods’ reach.
Austerity performed with resolve at a sanctified place yields extraordinary spiritual fruition, surpassing even celestial attainments.
The ‘there’ refers to the kṣetra being narrated in Adhyāya 37; subsequent verses connect it with a famed shrine and liṅga.
Residence at the holy place and performance of tapas (austerities).
