Unnamed petitioner (addressing a sage, ‘muniśreṣṭha’)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A supplicant addresses a great sage, urging that no anger be shown in the kṣetra and begging forgiveness and compassion.
In a sacred place, anger should be restrained and compassion cultivated; forgiveness is upheld as a core religious virtue.
The verse speaks generally of ‘kṣetra’ (a sanctified locale); the adjoining verses identify the shrine and liṅga associated with this kṣetra.
A behavioral prescription: avoid anger in the holy kṣetra and seek/offer forgiveness.
